February 2023

Hello Everyone !

This month of February has been such a hassle, I have started school again after having a whole month off. The month off school was very much needed, I felt so burnt out with all the classes I had in the fall semester. I’m happy to be starting a new semester and having new Classes where I’ll be learning new things. The classes I have this semester are, Theology, Biology, English, Health, and professional development. All of these classes are going pretty well for me except Theology and Biology. These two classes are very fast paced and have lots of readings involved in every unit. I have been able to stay caught up with all the work, but it’s so much. I sometimes feel that I barely have time to myself to do other activities. I am currently trying to figure out a better way to manage my time in order to have more time for myself. I really like the class professional development because it is a class that will guarantee me an internship through big companies in Minnesota. I am happy to get the opportunity of having an available internship for me during the school year.

January 2023

Hello Everyone

This month of January has been so good to me; I have been able to take a break from school and feel more relaxed mentally. Having a month off College is beneficial to succeeding; I like having a month off, unlike High school, where we only had 1-2 weeks of winter break. I have been doing many fun activities with friends and family this J-Term. I’ve gone snowboarding and Skiing with friends up in Duluth. The hills there are great to snowboard on. I have also been able to perfect my skills in snowboarding. Overall this month has been great. I’ve been able to do many things I’ve wanted to do for a while now.

I plan to do even better than I did last semester. I was able to pass all my classes last semester, but I didn’t do as well as I wanted to. I plan to better myself and apply myself more in school than in the previous semester. I have decided to go on demand for my job to focus more on school; doing this will help me stay on track more often. I am excited about what’s coming next this school year. My goal by the end of the semester is to pass with all A’s.

December 2022

Hello Everyone !

This month of December has been insane, there were so many things happening all at once. School got really hard and challenging, I felt like I had way more challenges to overcome this month unlike the previous months. As the month of December was ending I was getting more assignments from my professors. Finals week is no joke, it was probably one of my most stressful weeks of my whole semester. I felt really stressed and had lots of anxiety because I was scared of falling behind in my classes and failing one. In the end I was able to pass all my classes and turn in all my assignments on time. Although I had many finals, the only two that had me the most stressed were Math and Sociology. In math I had a huge math final that I was not ready for at all, the material and everything on it was still very vague to me. I had to study very hard and work harder than I’ve ever had to. Luckily all of the studying I put in paid off because in the end I passed my class. The other final that I was very stressed about was Sociology because I had a huge research assignment due at the end of the semester, and it was very stressful finding information and putting it all together. I was finally able to figure out what I needed to do in order to finish it. I am just so happy to now have a month off school and be able to do whatever I want and relax. 

November 2022

This month has been extremely stressful but I have managed to push through and stay on top of things in school. This month went by very quickly, in general, this whole semester has gone by so quickly, I can’t believe I am almost done with my first semester of college. Everything is still going the same way it has been going, I have been maintaining my grades pretty high and staying on top of all my assignments. I am still struggling with math and have a very difficult time learning the new topics we start, but I try my best to not give up. I am very persistent when it comes to education. I always like to try even if I fail, at least I tried. 

As the semester is getting closer and closer to ending I am getting really worried about my finals. I hope that I do well on them and don’t end up messing up my grade because of it. 

I only have two finals this semester, which are math and sociology. I feel very confident about my sociology final only because it’s a presentation and I don’t think I’ll have a hard time talking about it. The one final I’m very worried about is math because it’s going to be on very hard topics. 

October 2022

Hello Everyone !

This month has been going great for me; I have been doing very well in all my classes. I still struggle with math, but I have been pushing through it and completing all my work. I recently had my midterm in math, and I did well on it even though I am struggling with the class. I only had one midterm, and it was just for math; thankfully, my other classes didn’t have a midterm, so I wasn’t as stressed. I didn’t get a great score, but I still passed the test compared to others. I recently reconnected with someone from high school that goes to my school as well, and it has been great reconnecting with them. I have gone to many events with them and made more friends thanks to them.

As the year continues, college isn’t as hard as I thought it would be, at least not yet. Every class I have this semester is going very smoothly and doesn’t stress me like crazy.
Another thing I love about my classes is that my current professors understand and are highly flexible with me.

September 2022

Hello Everyone 

I am an undergraduate Student at the Dougherty Family College Community School. It is a program run by St. Thomas that will help me finish my two years of college at their school. I will get my associate’s degree and then make a smooth transition to the University of St.Thomas and get my bachelor’s. I plan to graduate from St.Thomas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
